I have a guitar project. My first guitar is a Squier Stratocaster, but it only has 21 frets and a standard neck profile. What I'm looking for for my project is a 22-fret Stratocaster with a larger neck profile, like an older model. I ended up buying a Squier Stratocaster Standard, but when I measured the nut, I was surprised to find it's 40mm. The Floyd Rose Special I have is a 42mm R2. My first Stratocaster did have a 42mm nut, but since it only had 21 frets and the neck wasn't what I wanted, I didn't install the Floyd Rose. Do you know if I can still install the Floyd Rose on a guitar with a 40mm nut, or what other options are there that don't involve spending so much money?
