Iggy pop no es el padrino del punk?

que opinan de esta nota(en ingles pero se deja leer y verdentro de todo)

la opinion mas importante la da silvayn silvayn cantante de los new york dolls que dice

Me encantan los NYDs y también los Stoogees. Vi a Sylvain Sylvain hace unos 15 años enbum garito de mi ciudad y a Iggy un par de veces, una en solitario y otra con los Stooges.
Creo que Stooges eran de Detroit, no de NYC, así que no entiendo muy bien a qué se refiere Sylvain. Y en cuanto a grupos glam americanos, Alice Cooper estuvo antes que los Dolls.
