Up for sale is my ESP Edwards E-TE98-CTM, a Telecaster crafted in Japan for the domestic Japanese market.
It has been an open secret for years that under the ESP umbrella there is a true treasure trove of guitars and basses offered, far beyond LTD and E-II.
With Edwards, ESP provides high-quality reissues of classic designs exclusively for the Japanese market – built in Japan and with a price-performance ratio that is hard to beat.
This also applies to this E-TE98-CTM, which is clearly inspired by an early ‘60s Tele.
The specs read like a best-of:
Alder body with solid finish
White binding on front and back
Lacquered maple neck
Beautifully grained rosewood fingerboard
21 frets
9.5” fingerboard radius
42 mm bone nut
Original Edwards single-coil pickups
Gotoh SD91-05M tuners (Made in Japan)
The guitar is excellently crafted, plays effortlessly, and comes factory-set for smooth performance.
I imported it myself as brand-new from Japan. Accordingly, it comes without any playing marks and with all included accessories.
This model is rarely available in Europe and is an interesting alternative to Fender Japan, Tokai, or FGN.
