This is a very rare guitar. Gretsch offered this limited edition of the G6120DCBK during 2005. The guitar was available by custom order only and there weren't many made, around 50 as far as we could find.
Patterned after the 1962 version of the G6120 DC, this guitar features an all-black finish; all-gold hardware; gold-trimmed, black back Buckel pad which is the only part of the guitar to show wear; string mute; ebony fretboard and bridge base; Gretsch "Rocking Bar" bridge; and TV Jones Classic pickups with period PAF covers. Adding to the class of this guitar is the absence of the "Simulated F Holes", which Gretsch paints on the standard G6120DC.

This limited edition G6120DCBK has one of the finest, easy-playing actions we've played. The guitar sounds tremendous and is, hands-down, one of the classiest looking Gretsch's out there. It promises to be an extraordinary addition to any guitarist's collection.
We think the extra numbers on the inside label is the catalogue # 240-1204-006 (never seen this on a label before!)
