The Lafayette is a marriage between the flavors of 50’s Tweed and 60’s British EL84’s. Filtered loosely, like many small amps from this era, the EL84 Lafayette feels like an extension of your picking hand that responds to every nuance played.

SPECIFICATIONS

• 12 watt EL84 Class A cathode biased power amp

• JJ ECC83s single triode 1st gain stage

• JJ ECC83s 2nd gain stage and cathodyne phase inverter

• Volume and Tone controls

• 4 position Schizo tone stack gain control

• 3 position standby switch for 6 or 12 watt operation

• Single 8 ohm speaker out

SCHIZO CONTROL
The Schizo control sets the overall gain and tone structure. The first position simulates the tone stack of the 60’s Blackface amps, the next 3 positions are variations of each other. The terms Tweed, Blackface and British are used to give you an idea of the overall sound and feel rather then claiming to be exact copies.

Pos.1: Black face attenuation, scooped mids, most clean headroom, this is unique as you won’t find that on any other British or Tweed inspired amplifiers

Pos.2: British Tweed with a flatter tone

Pos.3: British Tweed with extended bass and highs

Pos.4: British Tweed wide, fat and open

TONE CONTROL
The Tone control works over the entire frequency spectrum; it does not add particular just highs or bass. It also affects the gain; turned up will be a more aggressive tone. It is really usable throughout the entire range.

El estado es bueno no, lo siguiente... Como sacado de tienda... Solo usado en casa a volumenes de salón, y bastante poco menos de lo que me hubiera gustado....

Es de los amplis que, al menos a mi, molan de verdad... Enchufar y tocar...volumen y tono... pongas como lo pongas suena increible... Sin necesidad de estar una hora configurandolo...

Ya no se fabrica, asi que pocos vereis por aqui...
No tengo problema en que se quede en casa la verdad.... Se que si se va lo echare de menos...
